About Us

Janie and Joe have been busy these last eighteen months on a combination of projects that will be of interest to fans old and new...

Two brand new CD releases came out this Summer, the first titled "SOUND OF WINGS" an all-instrumental sound track of their lives and the different kinds of music they write and play-from a Cajun two-step Frog in the Grass and soft dark Blues tunes Cellophane Heart and Lost Angel to Celtic acoustic journeys Bumpy road to Knock area and Rainy Tuesday #4 as well as two diverse cuts: one exploring a Led Zepplinish-middle eastern flavor-Karavan and another called "Da Vinci's Blues" that sounds like a classic Italianate piece.

Also released: "POSTCARDS FROM A TINY AMERICAN TOWN." A double album of twenty one song-stories or "postcards" telling diverse tales of love lost and found, moody and sometimes angry blues-infused pictures of a troubled and changing America searching for answers and some socially conscious rockin' commentary on the state of our sometimes brave and fearful world as well as the interior emotional world we all inhabit with hope for a better tomorrow.

Janie’s lyrics tell stories often inspired by the places and people she meets on her back road travels across America. On this outing her voice is captured in a way that is closest to her emotional live performances. Janie sings lead vocals and plays keyboard, percussion, Bodhran and sings backing vocals.

Joe plays an army of instruments on these two c.d.s: All acoustic and electric guitars in various tunings (including slide) mandolin, bass and some keys and backing vocals.

Both CDs are getting lots of Airplay on various Radio formats and some film soundtracks and television deals are in the works.

Janie and Joe have shared the bill with such diverse acts as Nick Vigarino, Country Joe McDonald, Nickle Creek, Laura Love, Sinead O¹Connor and Scottish band, The Proclaimers.
